New-Air Southern Ltd have successfully completed the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a 3-Pipe VRF Heat Recovery Air Conditioning system to include fresh air Heat Recovery Units within the new Mayflower Theatre office extension in Southampton City Centre.  Two split Air Conditioning systems have also been installed to condition the new IT Server Room complete with a duty share auto changeover panel so that the room remains stable in the unlikely event of system failure.

As part of the contract we have also designed, supplied and installed toilet extract systems within the premises, comprising of twin centrifugal fan motors operating on a duty share basis and controlled by passive infra red sensors.

Working as a Mechanical Contractor on the project we employed the services of Colt International Ltd to supply, install and commission a full function car park ventilation system within the basement of the building. This system is based on the impulse ventilation principle consisting of supply and extract fan motors operating on the detection of smoke, heat and carbon monoxide within the area.

Their scope of works included the installation of a passive ventilation smoke shaft to ensure that the occupied building remains smoke free in the event of a fire.  A passive ventilation system has also been installed within the new Lorry Loading Bay which operates on the detection of carbon monoxide within the area.
