We are certified through CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services London) to carry out Air Conditioning Energy Assessments.
An Air Conditioning Energy Assessment will enable you to meet the requirements of Energy Performance of Building (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007.
Mandatory inspections have been introduced for all air conditioning systems with rated cooling output greater than 12kW. This includes the combined output of one or more air conditioning units within a building or company site.
Inspections are required every 5 years. This is now law.
For new systems installed on or after 1 January 2008, the first inspection must have taken place within 5 years of the installation date.
Inspections must be completed by an accredited Air Conditioning Assessor. Here at New-Air we are able to complete the assessment and provide a written report giving you guidance on how to improve the energy efficiency of your system(s) as soon as practicable after the inspection. The inspection and reporting criteria would be based on the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) publication TM44: 2012 titled ‘Inspection of Air Conditioning Systems’ which has been specifically produced, by an industry working group, as a guide to ensuring inspections and associated reports comply with the above EPBD Regulation.
On completion, reports are lodged on the Landmark Register and an assessment report and certificate are issued to verify the assessment.
