New-Air are in the process of installing a number of air conditioning and ventilation systems to an existing clients new premises.
Due to business expansion our client is relocating to a new premises with both office and laboratory environments which require heating, cooling and ventilation.
The new premises had a packaged air handling unit installed which provided conditioned air to a large scale open plan area and operated on a common temperature set point throughout. Due to our clients requirements they are partitioning the open plan area to contain the various business activities.
They required individual temperature control within each area and the laboratory areas required high efficiency filtration to prevent contamination. In order to meet their requirements we are installing equipment as follows:
- A 50kW energy efficient heat recovery VRF system to serve various areas. This will provide occupants with the facility to maintain a desired temperature set point within each area as well the flexibility to operate the system in the heating and cooling modes simultaneously. We are using the Reflok piping system which eliminates the need for hot works onsite; therefore no nitrogen purging or flammable cylinders onsite and the best thing is it provides confidence that you have a 100% leak free joint. This piping system also saves on cost through increased efficiency on installation.
- A total of five split type air conditioning systems in the front areas of the premises; this was the most cost effective installation for these areas and systems operate on energy efficient inverter technology and are charged with R410a ozone friendly refrigerant.
- Two heat recovery ventilation units are being installed to fall inline with the requirements of CIBSE Guide B. The units provide effective fresh air ventilation with high heat recovery.
- A ducted air conditioning is being installed to serve a laboratory area, the supply duct configuration contains high efficiency filtration to eliminate particulates within the area.
more updates to follow once the project is complete………
