A brewery approached New-Air as a result of a faulty chiller in their large beer store area. They had been advised that the existing system required replacement and our engineers were able to verify that the existing systems were beyond economical repair. Albeit the system was already faulty, the client explained how whilst in operation they had also experienced a large temperature difference across the area due to the configuration of stacked barrels. Through onsite discussions with the client we were able to design a replacement system which would not only meet the cooling requirements within the area but also optimise air flow to provide a more constant temperature across the space.
Based on our heat gain calculations we selected a system comprising of one external condenser unit (outdoor unit) coupled to two internal evaporators (indoor units) mounted at high level within the stores area. All services were installed at high level so as not to interfere with the fork lift operations within the stores.
The new equipment operates on the highly efficient scroll compressor technology which operates quietly blending into the surrounding environment.
We now carry out the scheduled routine maintenance of all site equipment to ensure equipment efficiencies are maintained which includes an annual leak test of the site systems in line with the current F-Gas regulations.
